Tobias lived a normal life as a PlayStation-loving tween. He had an older brother named Jeremy, and a younger sister named Cecelia. Like most siblings, they had their problems every now and then, but they all knew they loved each other. He won't talk too much about what happened that caused the demon to be sealed within him, and all that is known about it is that everyone in Cole Creek died the night it happened. 

He doesn't remember everything that happened, but he does blame himself for all of it, particularly since he actually does remember what happened to his family. 

After he left his hometown, he wandered around, never able to die, but still needing to keep his strength up for fear of letting the demon take control of his body again. He typically never stayed longer than a month in any one place, but he learned a great deal in each place he stayed. At least he learned a great deal about staying alive while homeless. 

Boston was the first place he stayed for longer than a month since he felt a little more confident about himself by then. It was this confidence as well as the lack of nourishment that led to the accident that nearly killed a man. Now he tries his best to keep as nourished as possible, as well as trying to find other ways to keep people safe from him. 

Little did he know the dangers that awaited him after he found a home at Bassy Sut.
